Those of you who served in the US Army will know that your Army clothing record is something you can never forget. There are many different ways to go about getting your records. One is to request them from your unit. There are even a few other options, including going online and searching for your record.

Whether you are an individual or an organization, you need to have a copy of your Army Clothing and Individual Equipment record. This is to ensure that you are properly issued the items you need. If you need help with obtaining a copy of this record, there are various ways you can do so.

You can contact your company supply NCO to get a copy of your clothing records. You can also request a copy online through Installation Support Modules. You can also print or sign a copy of this record. If you have a personal copy of your clothing, you need to include the date of issue and the purpose of the item. You can also add a description of the item. If you have a specialty item, you need to bring a signed memo stating the reason for the item. Consider bringing a copy of your limited-duty profile.

If you are planning to PCS, you will need to get a copy of your record from CIF. The process is fairly simple. You will first have to schedule an appointment with a service member. If you miss an appointment, you will have to reschedule with the first sergeant or company commander.

You will then need to return on walk-in days to pick up your remaining items. If you have dirty or damaged equipment, you will not be accepted. You will also need to reverse-pack the equipment from the last page of the record to the first page. This will make the turn-in process much faster. The service member will review the transaction paperwork to make sure all items are in proper order. They will then sign and date the packets to complete the turn-in process. You will receive a Financial Liability Investigation for Property Loss as well as a Statement of Charges. You should keep a copy of this record in case you need to exchange items.

OCIE Clothing Record

Having a complete set of OCIE on hand when you arrive in a new unit is a good idea. Keep your gear in a lockable container if you’re on the move. That way, you can rest assured that it won’t get stolen. You’ll also have peace of mind knowing that the items that you do need are readily available.

The best way to go about this is to enlist the help of your commanding officer, who should be well aware of the importance of having your OCIE inspected and maintained. The process is easy as pie, and the results are well worth the time and effort. For example, if you need clarification on what the baffling items on your list are, you can call your Supply SGT and ask for his opinion. You can also ask him if he’s aware of any special procedures you should follow.
